You are invited for a time of worship and fellowship on Sunday, August 23, 2026, as we celebrate the 160th anniversary of Boone-First United Methodist Church. We will mark this special day in worship by offering songs and prayers, hearing the “Good News” preached by our own Bishop Kennetha Bigham-Tsai, and receiving God’s grace through the sharing of Holy Communion. Following worship, we will gather in the Fellowship Hall for celebratory meal. You will also have an opportunity to visit a specially-curated exhibit of our church archives that will display some important historical documents of the congregation and denomination, pictures, memory books, church directories, and more!

RAGBRAI (The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) is overnighting in Boone on Tuesday, July 21! Whether you are a rider, a support team member, or a local resident, you are invited to stop by the church for a special RAGBRAI meal.

Menu items include:

Hot Beef Sandwich with Mashed Potatoes & Green Beans with a cold drink for $12
