We Worship Together

We have one, in-person worship service on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. The service is also live-streamed on our Facebook page, linked below. The Boone radio station, KWBG - AM 1590, airs the previous week’s service at 9:00 a.m.

What to expect when you come inside… If you enter through the arched double doors, the sanctuary is up the stairs to the left and the restrooms are to the right (an elevator is available for those who might need it). Someone will be there to greet you and help answer any questions that you might have. There is no dress code. Some people will be in suits and ties or dresses, others will be in jeans and polo shirts, while others may have on shorts and t-shirts. Worship is a matter of the heart, not the wardrobe, so wear what feels comfortable to you!

During worship on most Sundays, you will experience rich liturgy, communal prayers, and the singing of both traditional hymns and non-traditional songs by the congregation and choir. Our pastor will also offer a sermon/reflection on Scripture readings from the Bible. All of it will last about 50 minutes.

After worship, there is often a time of gathering with coffee and snacks in the Fellowship Hall, located in the basement.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month. You are welcome to receive the Holy Meal either by intinction (dipping the bread into the cup) or in individually sealed cups. The United Methodist Church practices an “Open Table,” meaning that all are welcome to participate.

While masks are not required to be worn inside at this time, they are encouraged.

Join us Sundays at 10:00 am.
